Mum, where to start It's been a while, 18 years today I hoped and prayed to God, that maybe you could stay Way back then I didnt understand I just sat and prayed and held Dads hand The days that passed we cried so much Missing your voice and your gentle touch Your wise words and hugs forever gone Left with only your memories and pictures to carry on They say that lifes a journey and sadly one we all must take Some days I thought my heart, might truly even break But that loss has only taught me about sadness laced with fears And how to cope without you and face the coming years. So much has really changed you honestly could not comprehend Our world has got a deadly virus From which we see no end. We need to come together to find a cure for all a world united as one So mankind does not fall. So in these uncertain times while you watch over me from up above I want you to know I feel your ever guiding presence And your forever motherly love.
